Product Ordering Selections
When a shopper decides to add an item to their shopping cart, if the item
requires a selection of options, like size or color, they will also be presented
with the options, which must be selected for the item. These options are all
in your control and you may have as many options per item as needed. Before
the item is added to the cart, these selections are checked for completeness,
and the shopper is asked to make the necessary selections if they have failed
to do so. Additionally, they must enter a quantity, which always defaults to 1.
You can have selectable options or text input. For example, you may offer
monogramming on an item and will need the shopper to tell you the monogram letters.
Shopping Cart Adjustments
When viewing the cart, the shopper may choose to remove an item or change
its quantity. ez-Vendor provides an easy way for them to perform
these functions, and recalculates the item total. Even when the item has tiered
pricing, the correct tier for the quantity will be entered when an item is
added to the cart or when the shopper changes the quantity.
Checking Out
At check-out, the shopper will be asked to enter all the shipping and billing
information you will need. If the shopper has ordered in the past, and they
entered a password and account name, ez-Vendor will attempt to
locate their records. If found, all information (with the exception of
full credit card number) will be displayed for them. This fast lookup
feature makes it easy for returning customers to order quickly from your
store. We even remember which shipping option they selected last time, and
how they preferred to handle payment.
Payment Options
Since many shoppers are still wary of entering their credit card information
on the internet, ez-Vendor gives them three choices for handling
this information.
Enter credit card number and expiration date - This is the standard option.
"Call me for Credit Card" - this option notifies you that you must call
the shopper to get their information over the phone.
"Faxable Form" - This option gives them a place to hand-write or
type their credit card number and expiration on the completed order form
which they can print and fax to you.
Order Notification
You are notified of all completed orders by email. This will contain most
order information but will not include the credit card number of the shopper.
You will be able to retrieve this and any other order details by logging into
the secured ez-Vendor Merchant Administration Site for your store.
Important Note (SECURITY)
All ez-Vendor sites use an Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate
on our server. This allows the ordering portion of your Online Store to be
secured and encrypted.
