Product Maintenance
You will have the ability to set up the following information about your products. Most items are optional and if not entered, do not affect the sale-ability of the item. The only real requirements for a product are Product Code, Product Name, and Current Price. However, the following additional information can be entered.

• Manufacturer - Select a Manufacturer from the list you have set up or select None (default).
• Description (Short Description) - This short paragraph is used just under the Product Name.
• Bulleted Features - Bulleted features are a nice way to get key information across clearly and succinctly to the shopper. Displayed to the right of the picture.
• Cost - Currently used only for sites on the CostPlus Pricing Feature.
• List Price - Suggested Retail Price. Shown only if greater than your price.
• Ship Weight (Not optional if shipping costs are calculated by weight) - in whatever measure you have based your shipping costs on.
• Ship Days - Currently only used for sites with ShipTime Feature.
• Accepts Decimal Quantity - Used to sell products that are sold in partial units such as liquid or foot measures, when you will accept decimal values in the quantity.
• Text Parameter Specification - Used for special text that is entered by the customer, such as Monogram Initials.
• Additional Specifications - As many additional parameters (size, color, etc.) and the available values for this item (Small, Medium, Large.)
• Picture - Most items should have a picture, but this is actually optional. Remember, good, clean pictures sell more product.
• Active - defaults to checked (true), but allows you to discontinue an item. If an item is inactive, it will not display at all on the site.
• Long Description - You can enter and maintain as much additional information as you wish for an item. If available this will display in the area under the picture.
• Category Linkages - Products can be linked to more than one product category.
• Pricing - At least one price must be available for the item to display. However, that price can be "-1" which will display as "Call for Price".
