Product Manufacturers

If your site is not set up to use manufacturers, the following message will appear.
"At this time, your site is set to NOT use Manufacturers. If you would like to use this option so your products can display the manufacturer, and potentially its logo on the product page, click on the option below and then click the Save button."
If you wish to use manufacturers, do as it says above, then follow the steps below.
Add a Manufacturer
1. Click the Add New button.
2. Enter the Manufacturer name.
3. Check the Active box to activate the manufacturer.
4. If you wish to add the Manufacturer logo, browse for the logo .gif or .jpg you wish to use. When you find the picture, click Okay. This will save the picture to your database.
5. Click Save.
Edit a Manufacturer
1. Click on the Manufacturer you wish to edit.
2. Make changes to the Manufacturer name, inactivate the manufacturer, or change the logo picture.
3. Click Save
What does this do to the shopper side?
Adding or changing a manufacturer in this portion of the admin side does nothing to the shopper side of the Web site. When you add a product and select a manufacturer for that product, the manufacturer name will appear with the product on the shopper side. |
