Editing Product Details

If you wish to add a product, click here.
The editing product screen is the same as the add product screen, except the information is already filled in. There are two ways to edit products.
Method #1
1. Click directly on the product you wish to edit.
2. You can change the name of the product or the product code. You can inactivate the product by clicking the Active checkbox.
3. The current picture for the product is shown. To change the picture you must remove the old picture and click Save. Then come back to the product and browse for a new picture.
4. Change or add a short description and features, just as you would if this were a new product.
5. Non-Promotional Pricing Information. You will notice this looks a bit different. The Sugg. Retail and Tier Price boxes are in the same place, but now the regular price shows the current pricing and adds boxes in order for you to change start/end dates, or pricing itself. This is done so you do not have to wipe out what you have entered already. This information is kept in the database for your historical information. Note: Prices must be entered as digits only, without dollar signs.
6. Move on to Shipping, Search Keywords, and Long Description. All of this information is modified the same way you would enter it originally.
7. Click Save.
Method #2
Use the columns to change Options, change the Category the product is listed under, Copy the item, or Delete the item. You can also Move the item up or down the list to better suit your preference on how the item is seen by your shoppers.
Options
- Go down the list until you find the product you wish to change the options on, click the radio button under the Options column for that product.
- Quantity Check the box if the shopper can order the item in decimal quantity. Example: You sell bulk candy. The customer could order 1.5 lbs of candy.
- Options Select options the customer will need to specify to ensure order accuracy.
- Click Save.
Category
- Go down the list until you find the product you wish to change the category for, click the radio button under the Category column for that product.
- Store Categories Change the category this product is in, or add it to additional categories. Click and hold down the Ctrl key to make selections.
- Mall Categories Change the mall category for this product. NOTE Product can be in up to two mall categories.
- Click Save.
Copy Item
- Go down the list until you find the product you wish to copy. This is used when you have a similar product. It saves time because you do not have to key in the same information over and over.
- What you will see is a replica of the product you copy. Go through and make the changes, and click Save.
Delete
Go down the list until you find the product you wish to Delete. You can only delete a product if it has never been ordered. Use extreme caution when deleting. The system does not ask you to verify if you wish to delete the product. If you delete a product inadvertently, you will have to re-enter the product from the beginning.
What does this do to the shopper side?
On the Shopper side of your Web site, editing a product will show the changes immediately after you hit Save. One of the GREAT things about ez-Vendor admin is that you can add or edit any product while your Web site is LIVE! Shoppers on your site will never know you're working behind the scenes.
